I was at the gypsy den a few months ago when I heard this song. It was familiar but I couldn't make out who the artist was. It was one of those moments where I wish I had a tape recorder or something so I could record it right then and there and replay it a thousand times over. I woke up in brooklyn
...not really, but I felt like I was really living in Brooklyn. I am very excited to visit in a week or two and check out SUNY Downstate. Hannah might even come with me! I can't wait to live in New York!

Wednesday night Bear and I went to Derek Brown's poetry reading/variety show at the Basement in Long Beach. Most of the artists were very talented, but the most memorable artist was Jay Buchanan. Even though he was sick, the rasp in his voice did him well! I couldn't find a video clip of his performance that night, but here is one on YouTube of "Post-Coital Kiss". Quite sexy.
